The
Center for Urban Redevelopment and Education's primary service
area is the narrow band of urban poverty that exists along
Interstate-95 corridor in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
The "East Coast Corridor," as it is called, is bounded
on the south by Hollywood (in Broward County), on the north
by Riviera Beach (in Palm Beach County), on the west by State
Road 7, and on the east by the Federal East Coast Railway
or Federal Highway (US Hwy 1).
The CURE has also provided services
at the request of low- income groups in rural Palm Beach County
(around Lake Okeechobee) and in Miami-Dade, Martin, Saint
Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River counties.
